RevMedia 4

Runtime Revolution or RunRev, the folks that make my programming environment and language, are in the process of releasing a new version, 4.0. Out in front is the recent release of RevMedia 4.0, an entry-level programming tool with amazing capabilities and an amazing price: free.
The RunRev family of programming tools features write once (in a language very close to English) and run almost anywhere (Windows, Mac Classic, Mac OS X, Linux). With the recent addition of robust internet capabilities and a new browser plugin that plays web ‘revlets,’ RevMedia's rapid-development environment is perhaps the most powerful and certainly the most approachable available. The companion professional-level IDE, RevEnterprise, adds such features as built-in access to MySQL, PostgreSQL and Valentina databases. (I use the latter capability in my client Citizenship Status, helping teachers track and review student behavior.)

I recommend a look: http://revmedia.runrev.com. The on-screen demonstration, using the new RevWeb browser plugin, should convince you of RevMedia's power and simplicity.
